Fabrizio Sisinni at the Forskningens Døgn (Researcher’s Night), Denmark 2025.
On April 22, 2025, Fabrizio Sisinni, Doctoral Candidate at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) participated in the nationwide science outreach initiative, Forskningens Døgn (Researcher’s Night), by hosting an engaging event aimed at demystifying the world of quantum computing. The event was held in collaboration with the Book a PhD Student initiative, a program by DTU that connects PhD students with the public to share their research and expertise.
The talk given by Fabrizio Sisinni was titled “Preparing for Quantum Computers: Judgement Day,”. The talk provided an accessible overview of quantum computing, highlighting its potential to revolutionize various fields, including cybersecurity, climate modeling, and drug discovery. The abstract of the talk can be found here: Preparing for Quantum Computers: Judgement Day.

He also took this opportunity to encourage the audiente to participate in the QSI Science Art Contest.
The audience primarily consisted of high school students, though the event was open to all members of the public. Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with the PhD student, ask questions, and gain insights into the rapidly evolving field of quantum technology. This initiative underscores DTU’s commitment to fostering public understanding and interest in advanced scientific research.
