QSI Joins the Celebration of 30 Years of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions
The MSCA Doctoral Network “Quantum-Safe Internet” (QSI) proudly joins the European research community in celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA).
30 years of MSCA – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions
For three decades, the MSCA programme has supported more than 150,000 researchers worldwide, promoting international mobility, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research excellence. Named after the pioneering scientist Marie Skłodowska-Curie, the programme continues to empower a new generation of researchers addressing some of the most pressing scientific and technological challenges.

As part of this legacy, the Quantum-Safe Internet Doctoral Network contributes to strengthening Europe’s capacity in next-generation secure communications. The project brings together leading universities, research centres, and industry partners to train doctoral candidates in technologies designed to protect digital infrastructure in the era of quantum computing.
Through advanced research and collaborative training, the QSI network is working to develop quantum-safe cryptographic solutions and secure communication systems capable of resisting future quantum-enabled cyber threats. The programme also equips its doctoral researchers with interdisciplinary skills, international experience, and strong links with industry.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, we also invite our community to watch the inspiring video message from Marie Skłodowska-Curie’s granddaughter, shared by the MSCA programme. The message reflects on the legacy of Marie Skłodowska-Curie and highlights the importance of supporting new generations of researchers across Europe and beyond.
Prof. Dr. Hélène Langevin-Joliot, granddaughter of Marie Skłodowska-Curie, reflects on her family’s legacy and values in an interview commemorating the 30th anniversary of the MSCA.
She stresses the importance of supporting young researchers, encouraging scientific collaboration, and promoting women in research, principles upheld by the MSCA programme.
We will soon share the testimonials of our Doctoral Candidates at this MSCA DN.
The MSCA 30th anniversary offers an opportunity to highlight the achievements of the programme and the people behind it. Within the Quantum-Safe Internet network, doctoral researchers and partner institutions are contributing to cutting-edge research while strengthening Europe’s leadership in cybersecurity and quantum technologies.
The QSI consortium looks forward to continuing its work within the vibrant MSCA community and to sharing future milestones and research outcomes with the broader public.
Together with the MSCA community, the Quantum-Safe Internet Doctoral Network celebrates 30 years of empowering researchers and advancing knowledge.
