Robert Woodward

Robert received an MA and MEng from Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge, in 2012, followed by a PhD in ultrafast laser physics from Imperial College London. He then worked as a Research Fellow at Imperial, followed by two years at Macquarie University, Australia, before returning to the UK to join Toshiba Europe Ltd.

At Toshiba, Robert leads the fibre-based quantum communications team, investigating new quantum communication technologies and their integration into existing fibre network infrastructure, alongside working on the development of Toshiba’s QKD products.
