May 16, 2025.

QSI Science Art Contest Ceremony
The QSI Science Art Contest invited participants to submit any form of art—such as poetry, music, design, painting, sculpture, or video—focused on a scientific theme related to the Quantum-Safe Internet. All submitted works were displayed during the QSI workshop held in Denmark from May 12 to May 16, 2025. The best artworks were selected on May 16.
AWARDS
There were two winners:
The first prize was awarded to Margarida Pereira for her spectacular painting.

“Towards quantum safety“, by Margarida Pereira. 2025
Watercolour and pen on paper
This work was created in response to the theme “Quantum Safe Internet”. A dark tunnel opens toward a radiant exit, evoking a sense of passage from uncertainty and vulnerability into a brighter, more secure digital future.
The floor of the tunnel is inscribed with a repeated sequence of quantum kets, the notation ∣0⟩,∣1⟩, and their combinations, representing the fundamental building blocks of quantum information. Hidden within the pattern, the phrase “Quantum Safe Internet” is encoded in binary, a quiet assertion of the message at the heart of the piece.
The contrast between the heavy, enclosing walls and the distant light suggests that although the journey to quantum-secure communication may seem long or complex, it is ultimately guided by the promise of progress, privacy, and hope.
The second prize went to Diana Cencer for her original and well-crafted video.

The winning works of art were exhibited at the 2025 World Expo of Osaka in Japan!
